With over 21 years of experience, Darin Vetterl is the man you want to be instructing your child. Working with Excellent Ice's summer camps since 2003, Darin brings forth a tremendous amount of experience into a full time instructing position at Excellent Ice - Surrey. Through his teaching career he has acquired his level 4 USA coaching certification, and head coached Western Washington University's team for 2 years.

2010 Spring Instructionals  

All classes are once a week for an hour, for a 7-week duration. Minimum level 3 completion to register for the following classes...

POWER SKATING
COST: $180 including all taxes
This program is designed to improve and enhance your skating skills. All the important skating dynamics are taught, including balance, forward and backward strides, crossovers, start and stop, as well as acceleration techniques.

SHOOTING & PUCK CONTROL
COST: $180 including all taxes
This program is designed to improve and enhance your shooting and puck control. These classes concentrate on skill development, technique and fundamentals. The class breaks down each type of shot: Wrist, Slap, Snap and Backhand and teaches proper puck handling as well as passing.

FUN HOCKEY
COST: $180 including all taxes
Fun Hockey has been specially developed for players just getting into the game. The program consists of a half hour lesson and a half hour 3-on-3 game. Players will build on and sharpen the fundamental skills of the game and use them in a real hockey game situation. It’s perfect for the beginner hockey player. Pre Requisite: Child must have passed at least Learn to Skate Level 4

TOTS HOCKEY
